She attended Berry College in Rome, Georgia for two years studying Psychology and being a member of the Pre-Medical Society. She  transferred to the University of Georgia where she was a member of the Pre-Medical Society and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry. She graduated from UGA with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology in 2014. She lives in Watkinsville, Georgia with her two dogs, Huckleberry and Sawyer. She has been working for the Corry House and  has been a volunteer with the Global Samaritans Children’s Home in Zambia that her parents started.  Her hobbies include traveling, tennis, hiking, and kayaking.                                                                                       In her own words: I am excited to be coming home to Nathanael Greene Academy. My grandmother, Lois Cheves, impacted the lives of so many children in the years that she taught first grade at NGA, and I hope to be half the teacher she was. I’m hoping that  she would be happy that I am back.  I am so excited to get kids interested in math and science and show them the impact that these subjects have on our lives. NGA has always been a large part of my family’s life and I am proud to continue that tradition.                                                                                                                                                                                      Nathanael Greene Academy welcomes Miss Rebecca Cheves!
