2016 Homecoming King and Queen Crowned at Nathanael Greene Academy

2016 NGA Homecoming Queen



On Friday night, Sept. 16, Nathanael Greene Academy celebrated Homecoming. At half time, Bonnie Brown was crowned Homecoming Queen by last year’s queen Tanna McPherson.

Senior, Bonnie Elizabeth Brown is the daughter of Anjie & Greg Brown of White Plains, Georgia. She has attended Nathanael Greene Academy since third grade. She has participated in varsity cheerleading for 4 years (co-captain senior year) and varsity softball for 4 years; One-act play for 5 years, and the spring musical for 10 years. She has also participated with the Lake County Players for 2 years.

She has been a member of the Beta Club for 4 years and FCA for 5 years. Bonnie has been a member of the Quiz Bowl for 2 years. She has been a member of the literary team for 5 years. She has been on the yearbook staff for 2 years and serves as this year’s Business Manager. She has been a member of the chorus for 2 years and sang with the Georgia Children’s Choir for 1 year. She was on the Varsity Basketball team for 1 year. She made the Head of School (Headmaster’s List) for 10 years and received the Highest Overall GPA Award for 3 years.

As a junior, she received the UGA Certificate of Merit. As a sophomore, she held the office of class secretary and as a junior, she held the office of vice-president. She has gone of 2 mission trips. Bonnie was recently voted Rotary Student for the month of September. She plans to attend Berry College in the fall. She attends the First United Methodist Church of Greensboro and participates in youth group activities.

Bonnie was escorted by her brother, Sean and her father, Greg Brown.

On Saturday night, Sept. 17,  Nathanael Greene celebrated with a Homecoming dance. At the beginning of the night, Levi Scott was crowned Homecoming King by Bonnie Brown.

Senior, Levi Tucker Scott, son of Greg and Melisa Scott of Washington, Georgia. He has attended Nathanael Greene Academy for ten years. He has participated in Quartet for four years. Levi has been a member of Beta Club for two years. He was elected Vice President of his class. Levi has participated in the One Act Play for two years and Spring Musical for three years.

Levi is a member of Phillips Mill Baptist Church. Levi plans to enter the Police Academy in the fall and study Criminal Justice.
